Category: Two Violins (Violin/Viola) and Piano ** Title: Theme from "Schindler's List" ** Arranger: Amy Barlowe ** Publisher: Hal Leonard Publication ** Difficulty: A4/A5.
John Williams wrote this haunting melody for the Steven Spielberg film Schindler's List. Set during the Holocaust, the movie is dark and heavy, full of sorrow, with moments of light breaking through; so it is with Williams' main theme, played on the soundtrack by renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman. This motive weaves its way throughout Williams' score from beginning to end, tying other themes together.
Though it already exists in a violin and piano transcription, the piece has now been transcribed for two violins and piano by Amy Barlowe. It can also be played by violin, viola, and piano (a separate viola part is included). Published by Hal Leonard.
Difficulty: A4/A5
NOTE: This version is for two violins and piano, or for violin, viola, and piano. For the violin and piano version, please see item 1513 110.
