An interesting side-note: Although Joplin and rag may seem synonymous with composer Scott Joplin, Mr. Joplin never actually lived in Joplin, Missouri, the town in southwest Missouri to which the title refers. He did, however, reside for a period of time in Sedalia, Missouri!
