The sculpted carbon composite shell is incredibly sturdy because we added 20% carbon fiber to its fiberglass backbone – creating strength where it’s needed, while keeping the remainder of the case float-y light. The SL weighs only eight pounds – even less than a gallon of milk.The SL 1000 comes with backpacking straps for easy extra tote-ability.
