This collection of works is an age-appropriate introduction to chamber music for the very young age group. Children who have had lessons for one or two years will find charming polyphonic pieces with manageable rhythms. They will learn to project their own individual musical line by staying in a common meter with their peers. The rhythms of the voices are generally similar or equal to allow the young musicians to have successful first ensemble experiences.
