Product Description
The most enduring of Saint-Saens' violin concerti, the Concerto No. 3 in B minor, Op. 61 was dedicated, along with many of his other concert works for violin, to the Spanish virtuoso Pablo de Sarasate. Where the previous two concerti are more physically demanding, this concerto is possibly more melodic and expressive, containing many intensely passionate themes. This is not to say it lacks technical demands; it is certainly best suited to advanced players with solid technique, who are thus able to bring about the varied themes with grace and panache! This edition for violin with piano reduction is edited by Zino Francescatti. Published by the International Music Company. Difficulty: ASTA grade 6
