This musical Christmas card is full of excitement and anticipation in the opening gestures and then surrenders to a contemplative contrast in the middle. It is a nice change to see such variety provided in a childrens piece and the part-writing is beautifully crafted. Optional percussion is a real plus on this festive piece.
