December 8 - The Russ Becker Quartet - Henry Carter Hull Library, Clinton - FREE
December 9 - Annual Holiday Concert, 2 pm, Valley Regional High School, free and open to the public. Please bring a non-perishable food item for the Shoreline Soup Kitchen.
December 16 - New Horizons Brass Ensemble performs at the Chester Holiday Market (at River Tavern), 12 to 2 pm
December 20 - Priority Renewal deadline for spring semester registration; scholarship applications available

January 6 - "Jazz Guitar Basics: The Blues and Blues Progression in Early and Modern Jazz," a FREE Guitar Workshop with CMS Faculty Member Kevin O'Neill, 11 am - 12:15 pm, Studio 15. Bring your guitar and small practice amp to jam!

CMS Holiday Concert December 9th! |

Join us for a festive concert on Sunday, December 9th at
2 pm at Valley Regional High School. This annual event brings
faculty and students together to perform vocal and instrumental favorites of the season. In addition to performances by CMS Suzuki, brass, flute, jazz, clarinet, cabaret, and string ensembles, the finale will include a medley performed by all of the groups and a sing-along with audience members.
The Holiday Concert is free, however, donations of non-perishable food items will be collected for Shoreline Soup Kitchens & Pantries and are greatly appreciated!

Members of the Community Music School faculty presented an amazing concert on November 11th, featuring a variety of chamber pieces and original compositions. Many thanks to all who attended!

NEW Programs for Spring and Summer |

We're working on new and exciting programs for the spring semester and beyond!
Children's Choir: in partnership with Con Brio Choral Society for a performance of John Rutter's "Mass of the Children" in April 2013. Registration information and audition schedule coming soon!
College Prep Piano for Non-Pianists: this class offers the essentials of piano and theory for high school juniors and seniors who plan to pursue a music degree and are intermediate to advanced students in a different instrument or voice. Day and time TBD.
Kate's Camp for Kids!: a new collaborative summer arts program with our friends at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center. This comprehensive program will offer children ages 5 through 10 a magical experience exploring musical theater, ensemble performance, visual arts, dance, and more! Registration information coming soon.
