As we all catch our breath after the hustle and bustle of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we’d like to remind you about another special day of the week, one you may not have encountered yet: Giving Tuesday.
Giving Tuesday is a new national day of encouraging charitable giving. It’s a great way to recover from overwhelming post-Thanksgiving shopping by refocusing our energies on community and human connection. At TBMS, we find our community and human connection in sharing the joy of music.
Turtle Bay Music School is a nonprofit community music school that serves over 4,000 New Yorkers annually. We strive to spread the transformative power of music by providing the highest quality music education and experiences to all in the community who seek them.
TBMS has exciting goals to achieve in the next few years: by 2015, we aim to triple the amount of financial aid available; expand our public school partnerships to reach 10,000 students annually in 10 schools; grow the Saturday Music Project to reach 200 students and their families; and bring even more outreach concerts to senior centers and hospitals.
With your help, we can raise the $25,000 necessary to make these goals a reality. On this Giving Tuesday, we ask you to consider donating to help Turtle Bay Music School bring the joy of music to even more New Yorkers.
And even though Cyber Monday is officially over, we’re still offering something tangible to donors who give $60 or more: a green TBMS umbrella, complete with our logo!
