One of Elgar's most popular works, Salut d'Amour was first written for violin and piano, it was published by Elgar in many other forms: for cello and piano, piano solo, and even for orchestra. Since then, interest in the beautiful, yet simple melody has inspired many composers to make arrangements, including this edition from International. Elaine Fine has arranged this masterwork for string quartet and piano (piano quintet) which retains the flow and intimacy of the original.
