Fiddlers Philharmonic is a pedagogically sequenced collection of well known folk, Celtic, and fiddle melodies, great for beginning as well as more experienced players. Each song includes a melody line, an accompaniment line, and a more advanced solo line. Not only do these different parts give developing students a good way to slowly learn a piece, they make this collection easy to use with small ensembles. Players can take turns with the solo part and playing backup on the melody or accompaniment. Ample opportunity to improvise is also provided, with some instruction given for this.
