Product Description
Bach’s harpsichord concertos were actually his own arrangements of concertos written by others for violin and for oboe. Barenreiter’s Urtext edition of the Concerto in G-minor for violin and piano is a reconstruction from Bach’s harpsichord arrangement, BWV 1056. Based on the original manuscript of the harpsichord arrangement, which contains clear notes on Bach’s own transcription methods, providing clear evidence that Bach’s own violin arrangement once existed. Â
