International recording artist, Emmy-winning composer, producer, and inventor Mark Wood studied under maestro Leonard Bernstein at Tanglewood and attended the Juilliard School of Music on full scholarship. His first release, Voodoo Violince, is widely hailed as the quintessential rock violin record. He received two platinum and gold records from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (of which he is an original member) and has toured and performed with Dee Snider's Van Helsing's Curse, Celine Dion, Billy Joel, Lenny Kravitz, and Jewel. Mark has been a featured guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and has also been the subject of articles in The New York Times, USA Today, Time magazine, and others. As a composer, Mark won an Emmy award for his compositions for the 2002 Tour de France on CBS-TV and has received nominations for projects such as his music for the 1992 Winer Olympics. As an inventor, Mark heads Wood Violins, a company whose mission is to make his incredible instruments available to the public.

Mark's "Electrify Your Strings" music education program has been featured on several national broadcasts of CBS Evening News and on ABC-TV, NBC-TV, CNN, and many other. "EYS" has been brought to over 100 schools in the US, including the Berklee School of Music, the Juilliard School, Oneonta University, and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
