Volume 17 of a critical edition of Wieniawskis complete works, this Romance sans paroles et Rondo Elegant, Op. 9, a two-part showpiece: the Romance is more subdued in tone, but gives way, with only the slightest pause, to the vivacious Rondo. As with most of Wieniawskis works, it is best suited for advanced players.

This publication is a critical, scholarly Urtext edition prepared by Magdalena Chylinska and Zofia Chechlinska, with fingerings and revisions in the violin part by Piotr Janowski. In addition to the violin and piano part, it contains an historical/musicological foreword in Polish and English, as well as lengthy performance notes on the individual work and a "making of" section on how the edition was prepared.
