Available only in Russia until recently, Venjamin Sher's Twenty-Four Virtuoso Etudes for solo violin have long been important, formative literature for violinists in the Leopold Auer tradition. Renowned as a performer and pedagogue himself, Sher was part of that tradition, having studied under Auer, albeit indirectly. He composed other works, but these etudes are his great legacy to violinists. This edition contains all 24 etudes, broken down into two volumes (both are contained in one book).
