The universal viola steel string for the future! This viola A-string has an inspiring warm and brilliant tone together with a very easy response and great power of projection. For a steel string it has a remarkable full and round sound and a complex overtone spectrum. You can combine this Passione A string with all existing and different kind of D-, G-, and C-strings.

Gauges and technical information: The choice of the three different gauges allows musicians to choose their preferred gauge and makes it possible to respond to the individual tension and sound requirements of their instruments.

As a rule of thumb,
- the thicker a string is, the more powerful the sound and the higher the tension.
- a thinner string will produce a brighter sound, however this does not mean that the sound is weaker or loses power.

The ball of this Passione A-string can easily be removed if a loop-end string is desired.
