Selected from the 15th through 18th centuries, these Eight Early English Carols are not often heard today, but indicate the rich tradition of Christmas carols in English musical history. Sure to make a great addition to your holiday gig repertoire, they are arranged here for string trio. Each piece is short, but may be repeated (as a sung carol would be) to your groups liking. Many of the carols are modal, and some employ multiple time signatures, but otherwise the arrangements are very accessible and could be played by beginning and intermediate players with little difficulty.
