AUTHENTIC FRENCH BRIDGES - CHEVALETS DESPIAU: These bridges are the "state-of-the-art." Made to the most exacting standards. All Despiau bridges are "treated" in the traditional French manner. Only the best aged maple is used. The Despiau family has developed an understanding of bridges and a technique for making them that is unique.

DESPIAU VIOLIN BRIDGES: There are four models of violin bridges (9, 10, 11, 12) which come in four qualities each (A, B, C, D). The four models are each cut differently. Therefore, if you like the no. 9 model and want the best "A" Superior quality, you would order a VB9-A. If you like the no. 11 model, and wanted a better student quality, you would order VB11-C. Despiau recommends models 9 or 10 for higher quality instruments, and nos. 11 or 12 for student violins. Quality "D" for student use only; "A", "B" or "C" qualities for better violins.
